Shiba Inu Puppies — Shinjukawa

Every Shinjukawa puppy is the result of a selection process built up over the years. Both parents must have proven their worth in the show ring: no anonymous dogs here — every one of our breeding dogs, male or female, holds at least one championship title and is tested for hip dysplasia, eye diseases and patella, as well as having completed their DNA deposit. When you choose a Shinjukawa puppy, you're choosing a bloodline that holds no secrets for us: we've been working with these lines for 16 years, and we have full genealogical traceability back to each puppy's great-grandparents — a depth of knowledge very few breeders can offer. Not just a pedigree on paper, but ongoing study and verification.

How we select our breeding dogs

Before including a dog in our breeding programme, we take the time needed to show it and verify its morphological and behavioural conformity to the breed standard. Only after earning at least one championship title, and passing tests for the conditions most common in the breed, does a dog become part of our breeding selection — a process that takes not months, but years. It demands patience, consistency and considerable investment, but it's the only way we know to give you puppies that are healthy, strong, and true to the authentic Shiba Inu temperament.

The path to adoption

Anyone who's contacted us knows: we don't sell puppies to the first person who asks. Every adoption starts with a phone conversation — we want to understand who you are, your lifestyle, your expectations, your family situation, and the environment your puppy will grow up in. If the conversation goes well for both sides, you can reserve your puppy. That's when the real matching begins: once the puppies are born, we follow their behavioural and cognitive development to find the personality that best fits your family. This isn't picking a puppy from a catalogue — it's a conscious, deliberate match, aimed at building a bond that lasts a lifetime.

Litters

We plan no more than 2-3 litters a year: this choice lets us follow every litter closely, from pregnancy through weaning. During gestation we already apply prenatal stimulation techniques with the mother, and we carefully monitor every stage of the puppies' physical and cognitive development. Experience has taught us this makes the difference.

If you're considering one of our puppies, know that we only accept up to 3 reservations per litter — the Shiba Inu isn't a prolific breed — so we can be reasonably certain of meeting every request and not disappointing anyone. The first 60 days: the window that doesn't come back

An adult Shiba's temperament is written in the first weeks of life. In our litters we apply prenatal stimulation with the mother and a daily socialisation programme from the first days: gradual exposure to sounds, surfaces and new situations, regular handling, first recall responses, toilet habits and getting used to being handled. Every puppy is observed day by day — not only in physical growth, but in cognitive and emotional development — so that when we match one with your family we can tell you who they really are: their temperament, their predispositions, their way of relating. It is the most invisible part of our work, and the one that makes the biggest difference in your first year together.

Delivery: when, how and with what

Puppies are delivered no earlier than sixty days of age, as required by law: dewormed, with two vaccinations, microchip, national dog registry registration, health record, veterinary health certificate, ENCI pedigree and a puppy kit with the kibble for weaning. We prefer to deliver the puppy in person, taking the time needed to let it settle into its new home and get to know you. When distance requires it, we entrust delivery to a specialised pet courier we trust. On request, a delayed delivery or a set date can be arranged, both to accompany holidays and to brighten up special occasions.

How much does a Shiba Inu puppy cost?

We do not publish a price list, and this is not a convenient choice: the value of a puppy does not come down to a number. What counts are the bloodlines and the titles of the parents, the genetic and clinical tests they have passed, the socialisation work of the first sixty days, the genealogical traceability back to the great-grandparents, and the support we guarantee for the whole life of the dog. In Molise, in the open countryside 3 km from the centre of Isernia, our Shibas grow in a natural, unspoiled environment, with plenty of space to let their nature out.
