Shinjukawa Kennel is a Shiba Inu breeder based in Isernia, Molise (Italy). Founded in 2010 by Myriam Nuvoli and Andrea Fedele, it has won over 134 titles and championships at Italian and international dog shows. Our breeding dogs are tested for the most significant genetic conditions. Before breeding, each one has earned at least one championship title, proving its morphological and behavioural conformity to the breed standard.
Hi, we're Myriam and Andrea, from Shinjukawa Kennel, which means "river of pearls" in Japanese. We founded our kennel in 2010 when we fell in love with our first dog together, a splendid red male Shiba. He revealed to us the incredible depth and inherent beauty of this breed.
Since then, our love for the Shiba has guided our steps, driving us to share this prodigious breed with all of you, promoting its diffusion and genetic and morphological improvement.
We don't breed for profit; we both have jobs. Our motivation is simply the pleasure of achieving the highest morphological and character standards of the breed. We only carry out a few targeted matings per year, allowing us to best follow our puppies in their emotional and behavioral development.
We care deeply about our Shibas and their families, which is why we offer high-quality puppies only from tested champion parents. Love and dedication for the Shiba Inu, ethical and responsible breeding, reliability, and competence are integral parts of our philosophy.

All our puppies are born from champion lineages, carefully selected to ensure health, well-being, and a balanced temperament.
All of our breeding parents are certified "Riproduttori Selezionati E.N.C.I." (ENCI Selected stud/brood bitch). This certification signifies that they have undergone rigorous clinical, genetic, and temperament testing to exclude hereditary diseases or genetic defects. This ensures our puppies are healthy, strong, and possess the true Shiba character. By choosing a Shinjukawa puppy, you'll bring home a top-quality puppy from a responsible breeder who cares deeply about the well-being of their dogs. We firmly believe that continuous confrontation with other breeders is an essential principle to grow and improve.
For this reason, we invest significant resources in regularly participating in the main Italian and international dog shows.
The excellent results achieved over the years not only confirm the validity of our work but also fuel our enthusiasm for new goals, always in the pursuit of excellence. Below is a selection of our successes.
Over the years we have had the pleasure of meeting many breeders who showed genuine appreciation for our work and decided to use some of our dogs in their breeding programme. Today we can proudly say that our shibas contribute to the genetic and morphological improvement of the breed in as many as 15 countries worldwide.

On May 26, 2019, the VII Shiba Nippo Show was held in Padenghe sul Garda, an event that allows dogs to be examined and judged according to the strict Japanese standard by a pool of judges from the prestigious "Nihon ken Hozonkai" (The Society for the Preservation of the Japanese Dog), the organization that protects native Japanese breeds and issues standards and guidelines worldwide for their preservation. We had the honor of winning all the classes in which we participated, becoming the best overall among the Shiba with our Sensei, who also won the final playoff against the best of 140 Akita, earning the Best in Show and the title of best Japanese dog of the event.

We recently welcomed our Shiba Inu and could not be happier with our choice. From day one the puppy has proven to be balanced, calm and incredibly sociable with people and other animals, and of course super lively once he settled into his new home with us. He was already used to sleeping alone and doing his business outside, which made his integration into the family really easy and testifies to the great work done by the Shinjukawa kennel in the first months of life. A special thanks goes to Myriam and Andrea, two truly exquisite, helpful and competent people. They followed us with great attention through all the paperwork and, above all, provided us with lots of practical advice for managing and caring for the puppy before, during and after delivery. What strikes you most is the love and dedication they put into their work: even in the following days they kept writing to us and asking about his growth, showing genuine affection for all the puppies in their kennel. You can contact us on any of our channels to arrange a phone interview or call us directly — if we’re busy we’ll call you back as soon as possible. The interview is to get to know each other and understand your needs and expectations (family, schedules, space, experience, etc.). If it’s mutually satisfactory we’ll put you on the waiting list — we accept max 3 reservations per litter. We are not an intensive kennel and we don’t have continuous litters, it’s a deliberate choice to guarantee maximum quality and attention throughout the whole process, from the selection of the breeding dogs to the handover. Puppies are handed over no earlier than 60 days with ENCI pedigree, microchip, health booklet with 2 vaccinations, health certificate and our lifelong support guarantee.
Because the titles earned by our breeding dogs are the independent confirmation by multiple specialist judges that the subject conforms to the breed standard, and they demonstrate our commitment and seriousness in submitting to third-party evaluations. Each breeding dog must also pass the main tests to exclude hereditary diseases and temperament flaws (MyDogDNA 240+ tests, hip dysplasia, eye diseases, patella, TVC temperament test).
